ISP email is the classic address people kept “because it came with the plan.” Years later it still gets bills, school notices, or newsletters that are impossible to update. Gmail absorbed it with POP or Gmailify. That shortcut is shrinking.

Does that address still need to live, or do you only need to rescue history?
- If nobody writes there anymore, set a temporary forward, pull what matters, and close the loop.
- If it is still active, treat it like any IMAP mailbox: app, client, or sync into Gmail.
ISPs sometimes ship clumsy webmail and odd storage limits. That is why people used Gmail as the archive. That reason is still valid.
