Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about how GetPopMail brings your business or hosting email into Gmail without replacing your Google account.
What is GetPopMail and who is it for?
GetPopMail is a cloud service that connects IMAP email accounts (for example info@yourcompany.com, sales@yourdomain.com) to your personal or work Gmail. New messages are copied into Gmail and organized with one label per account. It is ideal if you want to read everything in the Gmail app without checking multiple webmail panels.
How is it different from adding another account in Gmail?
Gmail only lets you add up to five external accounts via its built-in POP3/IMAP settings. GetPopMail does not have that practical limit: you can add as many IMAP accounts as you need, each with its own Gmail label, synced automatically every 5 minutes.
Do I have to give my Gmail password?
No. Gmail access uses Google OAuth: we redirect you to accounts.google.com where you authorize permissions with your Google account. GetPopMail never asks for or stores your Gmail password on our website.
What password do you ask for when adding an email account?
Only the IMAP password from your hosting provider or mail server (cPanel, company server, etc.). Do not enter your Gmail password in that form—they are separate credentials for the mailbox you want to connect.
How many email accounts can I connect?
You can add as many as you need during the free trial and with the annual subscription. Each account gets its own Gmail label so you can see where each message came from.
How often are emails synced?
The system checks your IMAP accounts every 5 minutes and moves new messages into Gmail. You can also see sync history and last sync time per account in your dashboard.
How much does it cost and is there a free trial?
There is a 30-day free trial with no credit card. After that, the annual plan is USD 12 (PayPal, worldwide) or ARS 18,000 (Mercado Pago, Argentina). It includes unlimited accounts and continuous sync.
Can you read, modify, or delete my existing Gmail messages?
No. OAuth permissions only allow inserting new messages and creating labels. We cannot read your existing inbox, change messages you already have, or delete them. IMAP passwords are stored encrypted on the server.
